Kevin Hart was left furious after popular streamer Kai Cenat‘s played a cruel prank on him during a recent Twitch livestream.

Actor and comedian Kevin, 44, appeared on Kai’s channel on Thursday – but things turned extremely awkward when the content creator brought out a ‘gift’ he had gotten for Kevin.

Kai, 22, said he ‘put a lot of thought and consideration’ into the present, but when an honored Kevin opened it, he was shocked – and unamused – to discover that what was inside was actually just a joke about his short stature.

The gamer gave the Central Intelligence star, who famously measures only five-foot, two inches, a step stool, and Kevin was definitely not pleased.

During the stream, Kai explained that he had gotten Kevin the ‘gift’ to ‘show him his appreciation.’

‘I feel like ever since we met, we’ve become just like Kobe [Bryant] and Shaquille [O’Neal] – we’re just the ultimate duo,’ Kai told Kevin.

‘It’s like Batman and Robin, like Zack and Cody, like LeBron [James] and Dwyane [Wade].’

‘I feel like in order for me to show you my appreciation I had to give you a gift.’

‘OK, starting off with a bang, I didn’t expect a gift,’ Kevin replied excitedly.

Kai then left the room and brought out a big box wrapped in white paper with a bow.

‘I put a lot of thought and consideration into this and I feel like you’re going to love it,’ he told Kevin.

‘I put a lot of passion into this, it’s heartfelt, this is something I feel like you’d enjoy.’

He also teased that it was ‘very expensive’ and ‘very useful,’ adding, ‘You can use this whenever and I feel like you deserve it out of everybody.’

But as Kevin began to open it, he started to suspect that it might be a gag thanks to Kai’s over-excitement.

‘Is this gonna be something stupid?’ he questioned, but Kai insisted, ‘No it’s gonna be something good. I promise you.’

‘Don’t have something jump out of this box man, don’t play with me,’ Kevin warned.

As Kevin opened the box and discovered the black step stool inside, his face immediately dropped.

For a few tense seconds, he stood in silence starring at it as Kai cheered.

‘I know you needed this bro,’ Kai said. ‘Imagine all the things you can get.’

‘Thank you. This is cool man,’ Kevin replied coldly, as he starred angrily at the camera. Kai even made him try it out, which Kevin did reluctantly.

Despite the uncomfortable interaction, the two moved on and continued the stream for another 20 minutes.

Viewers quickly took to social media to discuss the encounter, and one person on X, formerly Twitter, was quick to point out that Kai himself is only a few mere inches taller than Kevin.

Others described Kevin as a ‘good sport’ and joked that he looked like he ‘regretted’ coming on Kai’s stream.

Back in February, Kai confronted footballer Shannon Sharpe for calling him ‘three feet tall’ while he was participating in the NBA’s All-Star weekend.

During the game, Kai was largely ignored by his teammates and Shannon, his head coach.

Afterwards, Shannon made the ‘three feet tall’ remark on ESPN’s First Take – and when Kai appeared on his podcast to discuss the game, he didn’t hold back.

‘Why you call me three feet?’ Kai screamed at Shannon. ‘Hold on, bro, stop lying to these people.’

He insisted he was taller than his rumored five-foot, four-inch height.

‘I saw you in pregame, I was a little skeptical. I’m not going to lie,’ Shannon told him.

As proof for his basketball skills, Kai showed an Instagram highlight tape of him training for the celebrity game against children.

‘Kai, you’re playing kids bro,’ Shannon said, to which Kai replied, ‘No, they’re almost 13! They’re like teenagers.’

‘No Kai, ain’t no way. That kid had on Pampers,’ Shannon joked.

Even so, they ultimately made up and ended the interview on good terms.
